Generic human dorsal root ganglion scaffold

Summary:

The dorsal root ganglion (aka the DRG) is a cluster of neurons situated on the dorsal root of the spinal nerve. These ganglia contain, among other things, the cell bodies of primary sensory neurons. The picture of our scaffold shown above actually contains a whole spinal nerve, and the DRG is the bulbous part on the upper branch.

This scaffold was created as a building block for the spinal nerves scaffold, which itself is embedded into the 3D whole body, as part of the SPARC project. The scaffold is parametrised according to anatomical data, ready to be fit to experimental datasets!
